Production Focus and Challenges

This show required lots of destruction, dust and shading replications of actual onset photography.

There were a few different Federal Plaza looks we needed to match to be convincing the debris and destruction came from these historical buildings. In the end we were able to utilize much of the onset reference but also drone footage of the buildings at different altitudes.

Dust was a challenge because we needed to match some onset reference but also work in other references, such as 9/11 aftermath footage. Finding an intelligent way to manage these looks on the shading side was part of my job.
